Last updated: May 2, 2026

1. Acceptance of Terms

By downloading, installing, or using ReaderML (“the App”), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Use. If you do not agree, do not use the App.

2. Description of Service

ReaderML is a mobile application that allows users to read, annotate, bookmark, and manage PDF documents, write and sync notes, and optionally store files in cloud storage. The App is provided on an “as is” basis.

3. No Legal Entity or Registration

ReaderML is an independently developed application. It is not incorporated, registered as a business, or operated by a formally established legal entity. All rights are retained by the individual developer.

4. User Accounts

You may use the App as a guest or sign in with a Google account. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account and for all activity that occurs under your account. We reserve the right to terminate access at our discretion.

5. Subscriptions and In-App Purchases

The App offers optional paid subscriptions (Pro Monthly and Pro Yearly) that unlock additional features including cloud storage. Subscriptions are processed through the Google Play Store or Apple App Store. All billing, refunds, and subscription management are governed by the respective store’s terms. Subscriptions auto-renew until cancelled. You may cancel at any time through your store account settings. We do not offer refunds outside of what the respective store policy provides.

6. Cloud Storage

Pro subscribers receive access to cloud storage for PDFs and notes. If your subscription expires, your stored data enters a 30-day read-only grace period during which you may download your files. After the grace period, access to your cloud-stored files may be restricted. We are not responsible for data loss resulting from subscription lapse, account deletion, or service interruption.

7. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

8. PDF Content and Copyright

The App is a viewer and annotation tool. You are solely responsible for ensuring you have the right to access, store, and annotate any PDF documents you use within the App. ReaderML does not claim ownership over your files.

All code, design, branding, and content within the App — excluding user-uploaded files — belongs to the developer of ReaderML. You may not reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works from any part of the App without explicit written permission.

10. Privacy

Your use of the App is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated into these Terms by reference.

11. Third-Party Services

The App uses third-party services including Firebase (Google), Google Sign-In, and Cloudflare R2 storage. Your use of these services is subject to their respective terms and privacy policies. We are not responsible for the practices or content of third-party services.

12. Disclaimers

The App is provided without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We do not warrant that the App will be error-free, uninterrupted, or free of viruses. Your use of the App is at your sole risk.

13. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, the developer of ReaderML shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of the App, including but not limited to loss of data, loss of revenue, or service interruption.

14. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms at any time. Continued use of the App after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms. The most current version will always be available within the App.
